Open position: Accounting Assistant

The role is based at the head office in central Stockholm, Kungsgatan 17, in modern and pleasant premises.

Your role

As Accounting Assistant, you’ll handle day-to-day accounting and administrative finance processes at SBF Fonder. The role is key to ensuring quality and efficiency in financial flows and contributes to accurate, up-to-date accounting for both the parent company and the funds.

Responsibilities

  • Own accounts payable: invoice registration, coding, approval workflows, payments, and supplier reconciliations.
  • Perform day-to-day bookkeeping and ensure timely, accurate reconciliations of balance sheet, bank, and subledger accounts.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing payments, monitor liquidity, and drive dunning/reminder processes when needed.
  • Support monthly and quarterly closing with schedules, reconciliations, and journal entries.
  • Maintain good relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders to secure efficient financial flows.
  • Actively improve routines, processes, and digital tools in the finance function; participate in implementation and testing of new systems.
  • Ensure high data quality and proper documentation in the finance system.

Your background

  • Secondary education in business/economics or further studies in accounting/finance; early in your career. Internship or similar experience is a plus.
  • Basic Excel skills; strong general IT literacy and a genuine interest in systems.
  • Proficient in Swedish and English, spoken and written.
