Theodor Riise joins SBF Fonder as Asset Manager

SBF Fonder continues to strengthen its team with the appointment of Theodor Riise as Asset Manager. He joins from Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, where he most recently served as Senior Investment Manager, with responsibility for value creation and the operational management of large-scale real estate assets. The appointment represents a further step in strengthening SBF’s organisation to support continued growth.

In his previous roles, he has worked closely with customers and leasing operations, combining operational proximity with collaboration across property management teams and a strong financial perspective, further enhancing SBF’s capabilities for long-term value creation.

–We are very pleased to welcome Theodor to SBF. We have an ambitious agenda ahead, where active asset management and the execution of multiple strategies are central to meeting investor expectations. Theodor brings both broad sector experience and an international background, which will further strengthen our team, says Sebastian Brindelid, CFO, SBF Fonder.

Theodor Riise will assume his role as Asset Manager on 23 June 2026 and will play a key role in the execution of SBF’s forward-looking strategies.

–Joining SBF, with its strong track record in managing Swedish residential assets, is highly exciting. I look forward to building on the existing expertise within the organisation and contributing to continued value creation, says Theodor Riise.

The appointment strengthens SBF’s capabilities in active asset management and further enhances its ability to develop and optimise the real estate portfolios under management.

–Asset management and property management are core drivers of value creation, and Theodor’s appointment represents an important step towards SBF’s ambition to grow assets under management to SEK 10 billion, says Terje Björsell, CEO, SBF Fonder adding: Theodor’s broad experience and ability to work across multiple stakeholders will be a key asset.

SBF recently recapitalised its 15th fund, SBF Residential XV, with international capital to support increased value creation, and will execute larger and more complex strategies within Swedish residential real estate and social infrastructure.
